"Compared to other U.K. based rallies, the Three Castles scores Top Marks for organization and hospitality..."
Jayne Wignall, England
During the Trial each year we visit more than half a dozen great venues for lunch, tea and coffee halts. In this section, you can learn a little about the places we visited in 201, and those we have visited in other years.
We rely on each of our hospitality partners, not just for great food or coffee, but to deliver a seamless service that keeps the rally moving smoothly.
All our venues are hand-picked to ensure that the experience is sustained when you're out of the car. We work with heritage houses, hotels and inns whenever possible. Among other halts in 2016 we visited The Bulkeley in Beaumaris, Michelin-starred Tyddyn Lan at Llandrillo, Chateau Rhianfa on Anglesey and the oldest inn in Wales, The Groes Inn, for lunch halts in style. As you park the car, you're met by our hospitality team with 'meet and greet' information on the venue and suggestions on how to enjoy the lunch halt.
Tea and coffee halts also include interesting venues - in 2016 there was again a chance to enjoy the action over coffee during a visit to Glan y Gors kart circuit, whilst we also made a private visit to Mostyn Hall.
In the evening, we featured two visits to Venue Cymru - don't let the fact that it is the North Wales Conference Centre blind you to the quality delivered here. In 2016 included mid-event dinners gave the choice of a Llandudno bistro, at the Empire Hotel, or the luxury option of a champagne reception followed by dinner at Bodysgallen Hall, a Mostyn family house and a splendid country house hotel with far reaching views of Snowdonia on a fine evening.
