What They Say - Recent Comments

"I want you to know what a brilliant time Sally and I had on our Three Castles debut.  I had been aware of the event for years and finally made it to join you - all I can say is that it was well worth the wait.  We enjoyed ourselves so much, with the fabulous mix of fantastic routes, great tests and lots of socialising...we have some lovely memories.  Clearly, you have the weather gods on your side and the sun in combination with the stunning vistas (especially on Day 2) made for some very memorable driving... I thought the days were just right - demanding enough to give a sense of achievement, yet allowing time (to relax) too.  The regularities were very fair and the tests were responsible for some very wide smiles.  I'm still replaying in my mind the fast runs on the Great Orme! The whole support team were brilliant - we've never felt so well looked after on a rally, with constant attention from the hospitality team and CLOs.  Of course, we're very grateful to all the brilliant marshals who kept things running smoothly and generously gave of their time.  The Imperial Hotel also looked after us very well and deserve congratulation; all their staff were top-notch.

I can only imagine how much goes on behind the scenes to produce such a great event.   Many thanks - see you next year!

"What a super 2025 Three Castles!  Jon and I had a great time in our 911SC, which was a revelation compared to our trusty Austin Healey 100. All made possible by you and your fantastic and enthusiastic team's planning and efforts. Plus, the bonus of fair weather for the week. Perfect.

I'm at the time of life when Anno Domini is catching up, but we'll be with you all for June 2026, sciatica willing!"

"What a fabulous event you and your army of helpers put on for us drivers and navigators with a brilliant route and varied test venues keeping everyone on their toes.

Gilly really got to grips with the navigation this time, only to have our result pulled down a few numbers by my 'slow` driving on the tests!

We enjoyed catching up with old friends together with making new acquaintances whom we hope to see on the event next year.

I must also mention the superb choice of venues for our coffee / lunch and tea stops providing some excellent food that others can only dream of providing!

Thank you again for putting on an excellent event.

"Just a brief message to you and your team to say how much Tim and I enjoyed the Three Castles. It was a huge challenge as neither of us has ever done an event like this and the learning 'curve' was vertical! By day 3 ...(Tim) was noticeably more confident and that was thanks to the winning navigator - who between midnight and 1.00 AM that day took the time to teach Tim some easier ways to navigate!"

"Gill and I wish to thank you and the Three Castles Team for putting on another splendid event this year! We both had a great time enjoying the excellent route and great choice of venues for all the lunch and refreshment stops, day 2 was especially spectacular. Like last year we have met some lovely people who share the same passion for classic cars and they become part of an extended family. Your team have been great in helping to make the event a great success and looking after us so well. Being on the Promenade at the end is great and it's good to see the enthusiasm from the public, seeing the cars and chatting to the owners."

"We both enjoyed the Three Castles enormously, I think you have got the balance right now for ... those who do not have fast cars.  Having the Class awards no longer based on scratch times took the pressure off and made the rally much more rewarding for us...  I was particularly pleased that we did not receive any penalties this year which was one of my aims – it does help in the overall scoring!  I think you mentioned that the routes were the best for a long while and that was certainly the case, it probably helped that the weather was so good but even so the scenery was fabulous and some of the roads had excellent views. We will definitely be coming next year."
